As a Health Equity Intern, undergraduate researcher, I investigated barriers to CAPS/mental healthcare at University of Georgia. This research was first selected for the UGA CURO Symposium, allowing me to present my findings to the university’s academic community. My work further gained national recognition with its acceptance for presentation at the American Public Health Association (APHA) Annual Meeting. This dual-presentation experience enabled me to disseminate key insights on mental health barriers to both institutional leaders and national public health professionals.

As a Lewis Scholar with the LSI IMHOTEP Project at Morehouse College, I led a pilot study to investigate stakeholder engagement and retention in HIV care within the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. My research, conducted in partnership with Positive Impact Health Centers (PIHC), aimed to assess the feasibility of new engagement strategies and test their potential impact on inter-agency collaboration and patient continuity of care.
